2007 Awards Information
The recipients of the 2007 National Awards for Excellence in School Music Education were announced at the opening ceremony of the XVI Australian Society for Music Education 40th Anniversary National Conference, in Perth, on Saturday 7th July 2007, by the then Minister for Education, Science and Training, The Hon Julie Bishop MP.
Thirteen awards for excellence and leadership in school music education were awarded to teachers and school leaders. The awards recognised the recipients' exceptional contribution to enhancing the status and quality of music education in their schools.
Each recipient received a grant of $5,000 to further their professional learning related to music education.
