It is with great sadness that ASME NSW shares the passing of Debra Gilmore, who was a music educator of note and highly respected around NSW for her work over many years. From her involvement in schools around Sydney and NSW, roles at BOSTES and her contribution at the Department of Education, Debra was a respected and valued member of the music education community. Debra was a passionate advocate for music education for all and really wanted the best for students. As a High School teacher, HSC examiner, committee member and Senior Curriculum Officer Debra’s commitment was evident in so many ways across the music education landscape.
