The remarkable achievement of 50 years of the SA Young Composers Awards was celebrated with the YCA50 concert which was held in the University of Adelaide’s Elder Hall on November 19, 2023. In addition to selected works from this year’s YCA entries, the program included performances of works by past winners who are now recognised composers, including Anne Cawrse, Rachel Bruerville, David John-Lang, Nathan Cummins and Quentin Grant. These were performed by the Eurelia Trio and other guests as needed for string quartet. The concert was streamed live via the ASME Youtube Channel and on Facebook – link to the recording is here.
